Overeating A Myth, A Reality Or A Stress-Buster


What is overeating? Is it a mind perception or a reality.

Our body needs energy in the form of calories to provide fuel to our body.

 We all overeat at times, but the most important thing to keep in mind is what are you eating.

Is it healthy or Junk food?

Calories from overeating an extra apple will not hurt your body a number of calories junk food will. Junk food not only gives you extra calories but converts them into sugar. The sugar then is converted into fat which mostly accumulates around the belly.

So how do you figure out what to eat & what to avoid overeating?


We all know what foods are good for us & which are bad. I will share a simple list.

Bad Food List                                       Good Food List

Too much oil                                                                  Fruit Cream with Sour Cream

Fried Food                                                                     Baked/ Grilled Portion

Gravies                                                                          Steamed / oil free cooking

Sugary Drinks with Food                                               Natural Fruit juice with Fiber/ pulp


I was purely carnivorous since my childhood. I have over the past 12years have completely changed my eating habits to vegetarian & healthy eating. Switching eating habits, in the beginning, seemed a difficult task. But with the due course of time, I managed. Today I love what I eat.

We all have tendencies of overeating at times, but the most important fact remains what are you eating? What kind of a lifestyle are you leading?

Even factors like our surroundings make a great amount of impact on us. Not only food,our body is affected by our thoughts & energies around us.

The energy makes our mood swings & we tend to eat accordingly. Not giving a single thought to what is healthy or unhealthy & overeating happens randomly with the eating.

There are a lot of factors to overeating, I have shared a few of them.

The process is so instant that the reaction is fast that the brain signals don’t work. So just take a moment before you start overeating.

    You just have to see me to know I am guilty of this. Have tried a few times to lose weight but then the cravings invariably take over. 🙁
